I help people who are struggling or feeling stuck, through a powerful combination of:
We start by working together to create a personalised toolbox to resource yourself in daily living. Combined with weekly sessions to take a deeper dive into the issues that may be holding you back from the changes you want to make in life.
Using a combination of neuroscience, developmental psychology, compassion-focused therapy, and creative tools.
Personalised Toolbox
I start by working with you to see what tools you would like to explore straight away. This is a highly personalised approach; I strongly believe that the best tools are those that you will actually use.
Drawing on cutting edge research from neuroscience and building effective habits, I invite you to start by making small but powerful changes to your life. This might include taking daily walks, developing a sighing practice, using a 5 senses grounding technique or creative practice such as morning pages, artist dates or neuro doodling.
I know from experience that these deceptively simple tools can have a life changing impact.
A Deeper Dive
My integrative approach to therapy is tailored to your unique story and needs.
This may include exploring your past, your present, and your future; and for those who are open, engaging in creative approaches such as myth, poetry, drawing, visualisations and dreams.
MEETING HUMAN TO HUMAN
I meet you human being to human being.
I do this by holding a safe and confidential space where you can slow down, reflect, and unravel the stories you may be telling yourself.
Inviting the possibility of greater self awareness, compassion and acceptance, which in turn create an environment for change.
SUPPORTING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR CHANGE
Research shows that our brains continue to change all through our lives,
Neuroplasticity means that we can make new connections and that change is absolutely possible. This change may not always be quick or easy, but it is possible, especially with the help of others.
I work with a model of change including awareness, acceptance and then action and change:
I support you in moving through these different stages. It isn’t always a linear process but can be effective in supporting long lasting change.
Asking for help isn’t always easy, but having a supportive, non-judgemental, and empathetic companion can be extremely helpful, especially if feeling stuck.
I don’t see you and your life as problems to be fixed, but as creative guides and opportunities to experience and live into the width and depth and height of life.
I am offering the possibility to live more authentically.
And isn’t that what you really want from your One Wild and Precious Life?
