Pregnancy and Infant Loss Counselling

In-person in Brighton & Hove, and online working with clients in the UK and internationally.

PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS

Losing a baby at any stage of pregnancy, birth, or in early infancy is one of the most profound griefs a person can carry.

I offer specialist therapeutic support for individuals and couples navigating bereavement, subsequent pregnancies, and the longer aftermath of loss.

Areas I work with

Miscarriage, stillbirth & neonatal loss

Support for all types of pregnancy and infant loss — including early miscarriage, late loss, stillbirth, and the death of a baby in the days or weeks after birth. Grief at any stage is real and deserves proper care.

Subsequent pregnancy after loss — rainbow baby support

A rainbow pregnancy rarely feels straightforward. Anxiety, guilt, difficulty bonding, and fear of another loss are all common. I offer specialist support for this particular emotional landscape.

Infertility and involuntary childlessness

The grief of not being able to have children, whether through fertility challenges, medical decisions, or life circumstances, is often invisible. I provide a space where it can be fully met. You can read more about my work with involuntary childlessness and being childless not by choice.

Partners, fathers & grandparents

Those who are not the birthing parent often grieve without adequate recognition or support. I work with partners, dads, and grandparents as well as with couples together.

SPECIALIST TRAINING

I have completed the comprehensive Pregnancy and Infant Loss and Infertility Practitioner Training delivered by one of the UK’s leading specialist organisations in this field:  Foundation for Infant Loss training. Covering pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, rainbow baby support, and workplace bereavement. Led by Dr Chantal Lockey BEM — Honorary Fellow of the University of Wales and Honorary Doctor of Education at the University of East London.

MY APPROACH

I work integratively, drawing on depth psychology, somatic and trauma-informed practice, and a careful attention to the relational and embodied dimensions of grief. Sessions are offered in person in Brighton & Hove and online, and I work with individuals and couples.

Bereavement after pregnancy or infant loss often unfolds in ways that don’t fit standard grief timelines: shaped by anniversaries, subsequent pregnancies, the responses of others, and the silence that can surround this kind of loss. I follow each person’s own pace.
